For Newer Students
Redbud Yoga is a safe space for people who are out of shape, any size or shape, with our without fancy yoga clothes or equipment, and any age. Our space is quiet and private. This style of yoga starts with each student where she is, whether that is in top physical condition or having some challenges. We will meet our fingers and toes and some of the parts in between, by doing very simple and do-able postures. Students who complete this four session class may enter Asana I classes.
Mon 4-5:30 p 6:00 - 7:15 p
For those with great trepidation about what this yoga stuff is all about and how in the world I could get my body into any of those poses, this is a simple introduction to basic poses-- no pretzel poses here! We will meet our fingers & toes & some of the parts in between, by doing very simple & do-able postures. Students who complete this four-session class may enter Asana I classes.
For students who have six weeks or more of experience in Iyengar yoga. More seated poses and introduction to back extensions are included. Home practice suggested.
Tues. 10:30 a - 12 p Thursdays 5:30 -7 p
For students with six months or more of experience in Iyengar yoga. Includes standing poses, forward and backward extensions, twists, inversions, and restorative sequences with pranayama, our breath practice.
5:30 - 6:30 p
Calm the mind by opening the heart. In this class we lie over bolsters, witness the breath, and invite the riffling, rapid waters of the week to settle. You will leave with a quieter mind and a sense of renewed energy.
